Hon. Akello Rose Lilly

Hon. Akello Rose Lilly is a social and development worker with extensive experience in public service, community development and political leadership. She has served as Minister of State for Ethics and Integrity since 2021 and as Member of Parliament for Karenga District since 2019. Prior to this, she represented Kaabong District in Parliament from 2011 to 2019.

Her earlier public service experience includes serving on the Kaabong District Service Commission from 2006 to 2010 and the District Tender Board from 2002 to 2005. She also worked as a Gender Desk Officer with Kotido Diocese Caritas from 2004 to 2006, Project Assistant with Oxfam GB in 2007, and Senior Stores Assistant with Karamoja Development Agency from 1997 to 2006.

Hon. Akello holds a Diploma in Social Work obtained between 2002 and 2004 from Nsamizi Social Training Institute of Social Development and a Diploma in Hotel Management and Institutional Catering obtained between 1994 and 1996 from the National College of Business Studies, Nakawa. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Democracy and Development Studies at Uganda Martyrs University.
