Rt Hon. Rukia Nakadama Isanga
- Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister without Portfolio
Rt. Hon. Rukia Isanga Nakadama is an experienced public administrator, legislator, diplomat and education professional with more than two decades of leadership experience in public service, governance, policy implementation and national development. She currently serves as 3rd Deputy Prime Minister and Minister without Portfolio, bringing extensive experience in Cabinet leadership, parliamentary representation, institutional governance, community mobilisation and stakeholder engagement.
She previously served as Minister of State for Gender and Cultural Affairs in the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development and as a Board Member of the National Forestry Authority from 2017 to 2021. She has also served as Honorary Consul of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Uganda.
Rt. Hon. Nakadama obtained a Grade III Teacher Certificate from the Institute of Teacher Education, Kyambogo between 1987 and 1989, a Diploma in Customs Clearing and Forwarding from YMCA between 1995 and 1996, a Diploma in Primary Education from the Islamic University in Uganda between 2002 and 2004, and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the Islamic University in Uganda between 2004 and 2007. Her career reflects extensive experience in governance, education, diplomacy and public administration.
